English Alive Academy: Information to Sponsor a Student

Our students are from the poorest of the poor families who find it difficult to provide even the most basic school needs such as pens, pencils and books – as a sole sponsor your contribution will go towards these as well as uniform requirements, all text books, as well as payment for the school bus.

The sponsorship programs below are in order of what the school needs most. Supporting a student, or teacher will help English Alive Academy to continue to provide essential educational infrastructure for our students – an excellent standard of education, great teachers supported by good resources, and transport to and from school in English Alive Academy’s bus service.

Sponsorship of a child – US $ 18.90 / £ 11.66 per month for 12 months

Half sponsorship of a child – US $ 9.45 / £ 5.83 per month for 12 months

If you are interested in donating books, school supplies, sponsoring a child or making a cash donation please contact Stephanie and Dawit directly through e-mail. Please do not send any cash or donations to English Alive without first contacting Stephanie and Dawit for proper arrangements. English Alive also is open to volunteers working in their schools. This can range from a few days to a month and beyond. If this is something you would be interested in you can e-mail Stephanie and Dawit to make arrangements. If you are traveling through and would like to visit schools for a day please contact Stephanie and Dawit.

Welcome

This is the website for English Alive Academy. EAA is located in Nazareth, Ethiopia. It currently has two local schools catering to the poor community. It is funded solely through private donations and sponsorships.

Dawit and Stephanie are the founders of EAA. Together they realized within Ethiopia the children of the rich were the ones getting educated while the poor children did not stand a chance. They saw the cruelty that money was dictating the opportunity of a decent education or lack there of. Dawit and Stephanie saw that education was the key to the future of the poor children of the community. They opened the doors to English Alive Academy and began educating the poorest of the poor in Nazareth.

Recently Dawit and Stephanie were awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Nazareth council for their services to the general public through their English Alive Academy schools.

This website's intent is to keep friends of English Alive Academy informed of what is going on within the walls of the schools in Nazareth. It is our intent to have weekly updates for our friends to follow.
